    Whiteswan Lake Provincial Park
    A day use and picnic area is available for visitors to Whiteswan Lake Provincial Park. Hiking trails provide access to wildlife viewing stations, and a boat launch is available here. Whiteswan and Alces Lakes, both located within the park, are stocked annually with rainbow trout.

    Kootenay Trout Hatchery
    6 million baby trout are produced each year at the Kootenay Trout Hatchery. The Cutthroat, Rainbow, and Brook species of trout are all raised here, and this hatchery is the second largest in British Columbia.

    A large campground and day area with picnic facilities is available at Wasa Lake Provincial Park. There is a boat launch, and widemouth bass angling is available in Wasa Lake. Hiking trails lead to the wildlife viewing stations.

    Meadows in the Sky Parkway
    Set in Mount Revelstoke National Park, Meadows in the Sky Parkway is a 26 km road winding up the mountainside. It provides excellent views of the park, and sub-alpine wildflower meadows are at the top of the stretch of road. Hiking trails and picnic areas are also located here.

    Rearguard Falls Provincial Park
    Located on the Upper Fraser River, Rearguard Falls Provincial Park is a good spot for fishing. The falls in mention are the last barrier for spawning salmon that travel to the area from August through September. The park has no campgrounds or facilities.

    Purcell Wilderness Conservancy
    Located on Panorama's doorstep, the Purcell Wilderness Conservancy Park is 34,947 ha (86,358 acres) of pristine wilderness. There is no road access into the park, and motorized vehicles are prohibited, including helicopters. What is left is over 137 km (85 mi) of hiking and horse riding trails.

    One of many parks that stretch along the Rocky Mountain range, Height of The Rockies Provincial Park covers 68,000 ha and is an important habitat for grizzly bears, black bears, cougars, moose, mule deer, elk and mountain goats. Activities include horseback riding, hiking, fishing, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

    Jimsmith Lake Provincial Park is a popular outdoor recreation spot throughout the year. Visitors can swim, canoe, kayak, fish, toboggan, ice skate, cross-country ski and more. There is a campsite at the park but facilities are basic.

    Burges and James Gadsden Provincial Park
    Ideal for birdwatching and wildlife viewing, this provincial park is found near the Columbia River. The park protects part of the Columbia River Wetlands, as well as the Moberly Marshes. This is a great spot to view waterfowl and other marshland wildlife. Only a few facilities are available in the park, including vehicle pull-out viewing spots and walking areas.

    Premier Lake Provincial Park
    Five lakes are encompassed within Premier Lake Provincial Park. The park is located at the north end of Premier Ridge in the Hughes Mountain Range, just east of Skookumchuk. There is a campground, boat launch, playground, beaches and numerous hiking trails located here.

    This provincial park consists of about 18.5 ha, and provides its visitors with Brook Trout fishing, a beach area, fire pits, and picnic sites. Public washrooms are also located on-site.

    The Kimberley Nature Park
    The Kimberley Nature Park is an intricate network of meandering trails and scenic parklands. The Nature Park includes the Kimberley Nordic Trails, Kimberley Lions & Rotary Nature Park and Lois Creek & Summer park. Hiking the park in its entirety takes about four hours and offers numerous encounters with friendly wildlife and rare birds. Maps and addition information can be obtained at the Kimberley Tourist Centre.

    Blanket Creek Provincial Park features the 12 metre high Sutherland Falls, as well as remains of a long deserted farmsite. The Monashee Mountains are to the west, and the park is located at the northwestern end of Upper Arrow Lakes.

    Kikomun Creek Provincial Park
    Located southwest of Fernie, Kikomun Creek Provincial Park is a delight to families. Three campgrounds, man-made Lake Koocanusa and a boat launch are all in the park. Camping is allowed from April to October and reservations are highly recommended.

    The Enchanted Forest
    Natural gardens and Jolly Fairy Folk figurines are displayed together at The Enchanted Forest. Set right along the Trans Canada Highway west of Revelstoke, an 800 year old giant cedar tree grows here. A swamp boat is available for self-guided tours.
