Cody Caves Recreational Area In the Kootenay Rockies is a 170 million year-old network of tunnels and passageways. The only opportunities to see these caves are on a guided tour. In total, there is 800 m (2,625 ft) of tunnel to explore. |

Fairmont Hoodoos A few kilometres south of Fairmont Hot Springs is a series of intriguing hoodoo cliffs. These sandstone formations were naturally carved over thousands of years due to a combination of the area's semi-arid conditions as well as varying rates of erosion. Nakimu Caves This cave network is the third largest in the country. More than 5.9 km (3.7 mi) of tunnels await eager cavers. Guided tours are offered in the Glacier National Park taking visitors into an ancient labyrinth complete with soda straws, rock fluting and moon milk. To gain entrance to the caves without a guide, registration at the park office needs to be performed. Visitors are reminded to prepare for a strenuous hike up the mountain to the location of the caves. |
