The BC Rockies are filled with alpine destinations that have become popular alternatives to the more crowded resort towns of Banff and Jasper, no matter the season. During the winter, experience the wonder of the BC Rockies by skiing or snowboarding at one of the area's world-class resorts—located in Fernie, Kimberley and Panorama. An exciting day on the slopes can be supplemented with a dip in the soothing water of Fairmont or Radium Hot Springs, which does wonders to relieve sore muscles. During the mild summer, the towns of Golden, Cranbrook and Invermere-Windermere are popular starting points for a variety of outdoor pursuits, which include hiking, fishing, golfing and rafting. Located along the Trans-Canada Highway, the town of Revelstoke is a popular stop for those looking to explore the pristine wilderness, hiking trails and mountain serenity of both Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks.
